OUR SIGNATURE BLENDS
American Gothic
All the char and robust earthiness of a classic French roast, but with a pleasing light finish that calls you back for more. Serve it black or with hot milk, accompanied by crusty bread and jam, for a traditional continental breakfast.
Giant of the Earth
A rich Italian roast in the Milanese style — sweet, mellow, full-bodied — this is a coffee to hold conversations over, or to serve while conducting business. With heavy cream and raw sugar, this is an excellent dessert accent.
Steamboat Bill
Light caramels and redolent coffee liquors lift this medium roast blend beyond the realm of the ordinary. A favorite "office" coffee because of its mass appeal and stimulating aroma that feeds the mind as well as the body.
St. Louis Blues
Scents of mountain blackberries, acorn and pinecones combine in this light breakfast blend that reminds us of the great outdoors. Take along a thermos full on your next fishing trip, or, better yet, sleep in late, take a mug with you to bed, and read the Sunday travel section.
Mystery Espresso Blend
Like all things European, there are at least two schools of thought. … Our espresso is from the old school — roasted a bit darker to bring out the flavorful oils; blended for balance, aroma, and body. Notes of caramel, chocolate and a citrus-like tang make this blend perfect for lattes and mochas, or of course by itself as a high-octane pick-me-up.
OUR SINGLE ORIGIN COFFEES
El Salvador Orange Bourbon
El Salvador is famous for its Bourbon (pronounced bore-bone) varieties of coffee. This orange variety is processed meticulously, ensuring that it sparkles with citrus notes and finishes with a lush, round, chocolate taste. Delightful with breakfast or a mid-day snack!
Indian Monsooned Malabar
One of the most unusual coffees in the world! The beans are exposed to the monsoon winds for several months after drying. This imparts a rich, earthy flavor to the natural fruity character of the beans. This is a coffee lover's delight.
Colombia Reserva Del Patron
Grown in the Narino department of Colombia at unusually high altitudes, this coffee develops a smooth richness. Each cup yields a sweetness rounded out by a buttery body. Serve it with chocolate-covered strawberries and whipped cream for a special treat.
Kenya "AA"
The scent of Kenyan coffee is as deep as an orchid. The taste is berry-sweet and wine-like. A perfect coffee for all-day drinkers, its flavors won't dull or bore you. Drink it black, accompany it with a croissant, and breathe in the high mountain air. Simple!
Kona
Grown in the rich volcanic soil of Hawaii, the tones of true, 100 percent extra fancy Kona coffee are deep and tropical with a mild tanginess. Let this be your special occasion coffee, or present it as an elegant hostess gift. Best served hot and black.
Tanzanian Peaberry
Coffee trees normally produce two beans in each coffee "cherry." A genetic curiosity, the peaberry yields only one precious bean per fruit. The peaberry tends to pack more flavor into each bean. Characteristically sweet, mild, and slightly almond in essence. Traying to cut calories? Serve this rare treat instead of dessert.
Papua New Guinea
From a country where tribal customs call for dramatically painted faces, comes a coffee that is equally striking. Descended from Jamaica's famous Blue Mountain stock, this is a coffee connoisseur's delight! Mellow, yet tangy, with a pleasant sweet note, this coffee has proven itself an international favorite.
OUR FAIR TRADE AND
ORGANIC COFFEES
Java House Blend
A unique blend combines both light and dark roast South and Central American beans. The bright, snappy acidity of the light roast is complimented by a touch of dark roast. This results in a very pleasing medium body and delicate finish that is perfect for a diverse crowd. Serve this local favorite at your next event.
Mexican Altura
One of the lightest and most delicate coffees. High floral notes, citrus and jasmine combine with a nutty and spicy flavor to produce a complex and subtle, yet wonderfully rounded cup. Let this balanced brew soothe you on a busy day.
Ethiopian Yirgacheffe
From the dense coffee jungles of Ethiopia, Yirgacheffe is still one of the world's few wild coffees. A direct descendant of the first coffee consumed 2,000 years ago, Yirgacheffe has a brisk, untamed flavor with fruity undertones. A good companion to spicy foods, its extremely complex flavor will wake up the taste buds.
Guatemalan Maya Ixil
The fertile, temperate climate of Guatemala gives this coffee its supple sweetness and acidity. It was developed by socially conscious farming co-ops and is grown under native shade trees that provide habitat for local animals. The cup is bright, energetic, and pleasing. A cup after lunch will get you through the day!
Peruvian Dark
Gratifyingly earthy, deep, and delicious, this Peruvian is full of bravado, with a slightly dark chocolatey finish. Remember when your dad said coffee would put hair on your chest? This is the coffee he meant. Drink it black if you dare!
Sumatra Dark
A foray into the damp earth, this is the coffee equivalent of a rain forest in its complexity. Rich and smoky, Sumatra's full body makes it a classic dessert coffee — by itself, with cream, or wedded with chocolate layer cake. Allow the flavors to linger and change in its long finish.
